A picturesque neighborhood in Minneapolis
Keenan Olson, a Realtor and Minneapolis resident of 20 years, claims Lynnhurst is one of his favorite neighborhoods to talk about, and it is not hard to see why. "I always say there's something for everyone here; it has everything that you would need and want in a neighborhood– walkability, a great community, schools, and restaurants." Lynnhursts' desirability is reflected in its pricing, with homes starting at $450,000 and going up as high as $ 2 million for houses by the lake. Convenience is a huge aspect of the neighborhood– residents can walk to local restaurants, the park, or the creek, which are about 10 minutes away. All of these factors contribute to Lynnhurst being one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Minneapolis.

Charming architecture at every turn
Anyone stepping into the neighborhood will immediately take note of its diverse architecture, featuring everything from Tudors Craftsman to four squares and more. "The historic houses and styles are a huge draw for homebuyers," says Realtor Mary Schumann at Keller Williams Intergrity Realty. These houses sit close to each other and feature lawns decorated with shrubs and other greenery. The streets of Lynnhurst are wide enough for street parking and also for walking on its paved sidewalks.

Three different locations to explore
Lynnhurst Park is located at the center of the neighborhood and is open every day from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. The park offers amenities such as a playground, athletic fields and a recreation center. Residents can also explore the many different bike trails by Minnehaha Creek, a 9-mile-long stream running through the neighborhood. This stream connects to Lake Harriet, a lake that borders the neighborhood. Lake Harriet is a popular location for boating and beach activities, such as kayaking and lounging in the sun during summer.

Local Restaurants located in the neighborhood
"You're not going to find many commercial centers here," says Olson. Instead, there are "amazing restaurants– all within a walkable distance, located in the neighborhood." Some of these include Colita's, a Mexican fusion restaurant perfect for date night. Olson personally recommends the "Naked Dani" as a cocktail order, a bubbly and fun twist on the classic margarita. Broder's Pasta Bar is another favorite, owned and operated by a local Italian-American family. When it comes to groceries and other needs, residents can head to Kowalskis's Markets, located right at the border of the neighborhood.

Crime is extremely low in this area. However, because it is mere miles from downtown, one can often hear police sirens going off at night.
