What homeowners can pay for Tudor and Craftsman-style homes
You can find a large selection of housing styles in the neighborhood, including Craftsman-style bungalows and small Tudors from the early to mid-1900s. These houses often sell between the upper $100,000s and the upper $600,000s. Townhomes and condos can run from the mid-$100,000s to the upper $300,000s, with HOA fees often between $450 and $750 per month. Greta Fay, a Realtor with Anderson Realty who used to live nearby, says the area’s prices are roughly in line with neighborhoods to the north, like Bryant. Communities to the south, like Field, can be more expensive.

Community life is quiet, but events bring people together
Regina feels classically suburban thanks to its quiet grid-like streets that are dotted with trees. Roads are wide, and there are often cars parked along the curb. The neighborhood’s sidewalks are well-maintained, making it easy to get to a friend’s house or walk into Kingfield for dinner. Interstate 35W is blocked from view with a wall, and East 46th Street crosses over it. You can sometimes hear highway noise during periods of heavy traffic. The community is served by the Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group, which puts on events like the annual Duck Race. “Hundreds gather along [Minnehaha] Creek to cheer on thousands of yellow rubber ducks,” Fay says.
McRae Park is an ideal place to play fetch.

Washburn High School is highly rated.
Students are served by the Minneapolis Public School District
Students are zoned for the highly rated Minneapolis Public School District. Washburn High School also gets high marks. The state has open enrollment, meaning students can attend any school outside of their district as long as the school is not full. City magnet schools like FAIR School for Arts use enrollment lotteries. Private schools like Our Lady of Peace, a highly rated academy for preschool through eighth grade, are also nearby.
People can commute downtown by car or by bus
To commute downtown, most residents will drive the nearly 5-mile trip, which takes around 10 minutes in normal traffic. Metro Transit buses make several stops along 4th Avenue South and East 46th Street, and can get riders downtown in 25 to 40 minutes, depending on the route. Downtown’s business district is home to companies like U.S. Bank and Target.

Seward Community Co-op has an array of fresh produce, deli items and baked goods.
It's a short walk to popular restaurants
There are no restaurants inside the residential community, but there are several within a few miles, especially in the Kingfield community along Nicollet Avenue. Nighthawks puts a modern spin on diner food, while The Lowbrow serves elevated burgers and sandwiches. Boludo has a mix of pizzas and Argentinian-style empanadas. You can grab a specialty drink at Five Watt Coffee, where the menu changes with the seasons. Fay says residents also share amenities with the Field neighborhood, including the "48th and Chicago” business cluster, which includes The Creekside Supper Club and Pumphouse Creamery. “People lump them together, in a sense,” Fay says, of how people think about the two neighborhoods. For groceries, people can head to Seward Community Co-Op in nearby Bryant or Kowalski’s Market in Diamond Lake.
There are several sports fields and lakes nearby
Fay says residents tend to be active, and there are several places where people can work up a sweat or relax after a long day:
McRae Park has sports fields, an ice rink and a playground.
West Twin Pond and East Twin Pond have benches for relaxing.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park hosts youth and adult sports leagues.
Lake Harriet has beaches with swimming and boating opportunities.
Lake Nokomis Park has two fishing piers and offers pond hockey each winter.
Lake Nokomis offers a scenic backdrop for trail users.
Regina residents enjoy the views of West Twin Pond.

Uptown Minneapolis has hundreds of restaurants that range from traditional, ethnic, vegetarian, local, or you name it. If you want it, you can usually always find somewhere to eat in Uptown, Downtown, or in a neighboring suburb.

I love living in the city, but my grandparents also own a farm about 2 hours away from Minneapolis. In Minnesota, there are so many different types of land, its hard to not find what you're looking for.

There is nothing I can complain about. I feel very safe in my community and I feel as though if I needed to contact a local representative for any reason, I would hear back from them.
