Del Monte Golf Course, the oldest golf course continually operating on the West Coast, is in the heart of the neighborhood. Next to the neighborhood, the 18-hole Monterey Pines Golf Club offers discounts to active and retired military members and has a driving range and practice areas. San Carlos Beach invites locals to relax on the sand with a book, while Del Monte Beach is a popular spot to walk with leashed dogs. Paragliding, surfing and fishing are popular at Monterey Beach.
