Southwest Nashville community with suburban beauty
Harpeth Valley Park embodies much of what Bellevue is. “Bellevue. It means ‘beautiful view,’ and I think the land itself is very pretty,” says Sarah Milligan, a Realtor with the Wilson Group Real Estate Services, who’s made several sales in Harpeth Valley Park. Harpeth Valley Park is among the many communities that make up Bellevue, a larger suburban area on the southwestern edge of Nashville that stands out with hilly and scenic lands. The Harpeth River snakes between many of these neighborhoods, and both sides of Harpeth Valley Park sit right along the water. The location puts the community just a few steps away from the Harpeth River Greenway, and residents can easily take part in activities ranging from dog walks through the surrounding woodlands to canoe rides down the river. “It has amazing proximity to Warner Parks, which are thousands of acres of natural green area,” Milligan says. “Lastly, Bellevue is great because it’s a very easy and short commute to downtown Nashville.” Harpeth Valley Park is right between Interstate 40 and Tennessee State Route 100, both of which commuters can travel on to reach the Music City’s downtown. “It’s a very family-oriented community, and it’s very well built for kids to play outside and for people to enjoy their amenities,” says Tzion Achvan, a Realtor with Benchmark Realty, who’s made six sales in Harpeth Valley Park. The community is also within convenient commuting distance of suburbs like Franklin. “A lot of people in that Bellevue area work in the Franklin area, as well,” Milligan says.

Harpeth Valley Park shares several shopping centers with its neighbors. They include One Bellevue Place and Harpeth Village, which are both dense with chain brands that include two Publix grocery stores and a Kroger. Harpeth Valley Park residents, however, might not need to move as much as their neighbors when it comes to looking for places to eat. Right off Old Harding Pike near where the river bends, Blinkys Offset BBQ’s Miami Vice themed trailer and smoker are hard to miss. Many regularly flock to Harpeth Valley Golf Center near the greenway to pick up orders of hearty fare ranging from bacon-wrapped smoked meatloaf with a side of slaw to smoked and barbecue-glazed wings and racks of ribs. The Pizza Perfect inside the strip mall just north of the community is popular for those looking to enjoy slices and even try out a few arcade games.

On the other side of the community, off State Route 100, those who like getting on the water can launch a trip from the Harpeth River State Park canoe access. More scenic adventures can occur at Warner Parks, which the more than 6-mile-long Harpeth River Greenway reaches.
