A suburban haven near Nashville
Located in the greater area of Bellevue, the streets of Moss Creek wind their way through a shaded landscape of dense trees in central Tennessee. Primarily residential, the shield-shaped neighborhood lies right beside the Devon Valley and Highlands and is on the outskirts of Nashville. Though there aren’t too many local establishments within its specific boundaries, Moss Creek retains an identity of its own through its residential side. “There’s all sorts of varieties of homes out there and it’s suburban,” says Jacob Kupin, a Realtor and the founder of the Kupin Group. “There’s ranch homes, subdivisions and just a large variety depending on where you go. One of the cool things about Nashville is that there’s a lot of housing choices, and Moss Creek is a neighborhood that has both ownership and rental options. It’s a relatively affordable place in the urban core.”
A wide variety of housing designs
Amid the rolling hills and woods, Moss Creek’s homes come in a variety of styles. Single-family constructions populate the area alongside condominiums and town houses, with the majority of recently-sold properties built between 1960 and the late 1990s. Classic brick ranch homes are very popular in Moss Creek, and the single-level ranch, be it brick or painted, is generally a common find. Other styles include Greek revivals with pillared facades, Craftsman designs, split-level layouts and even some large Colonial homes. Oak, pine and cherry blossom trees can be found on some of the lots, and homes in Moss Creek typically sell for anywhere from close to $400,000 to around $700,000.
