The Laurel district offers a grab bag of housing styles, with everything from Mediterranean Revival styles and bungalows to midcentury ramblers and Craftsman homes, many of which have been updated. Some houses offer opportunities to invest and add a creative touch. The neighborhood is very walkable, with well-maintained sidewalks interspersed with mature trees. Homes are set on small lots with minimal front yard space, but while there may not be much space in the front, backyards surrounded by privacy fencing provide the opportunity to relax or entertain. Home prices range from $750,000 to $1 million, depending on the level of renovation and maintenance needed.
