Cozy 1920s homes clustered on short streets
Many of the homes in Wentworth Holland were built in the early 1900s. Craftsman bungalows line the tree-dotted streets along with Spanish-inspired houses bearing red tile roofs and stucco walls. Single-family homes dominate the community, although there are some townhouses, too. “The early 1900s houses there were made from redwood. Termites hate redwood,” says Jennifer Wise, a Realtor with Coldwell Realty with over a decade of experience. Homes cluster close together, and some of the community’s short roadways have odd angles to compensate for the neighborhood’s wedge-like shape. Houses don’t come on the market often here due to some of them being handed down over generations, but when they do, they sell for a median price of $550,000 after around 80 days. Prices range from $350,000 to $675,000 for single-family homes and $400,000 to $750,000 for townhouses.
