Residential neighborhood with schools and shopping opportunities
Eclectic homes surrounded by mature trees set the scene in Hillcrest-Bonneville, a residential neighborhood about 3 miles from downtown Ogden. While much of the area is lined with homes, main roads on either side have dozens of retail and restaurant options. Additionally, multiple Ogden City public schools are located in the neighborhood, creating an easy pipeline for families and their students. “It’s a better area to look at when you’re looking at schools. They’re dotted all over,” says Real Estate Agent Joell Verduzco with Equity Real Estate, who has over 20 years of experience.

These properties were built in the 1910s, span 1,000 to 2,100 square feet and are priced around $325,000 to $500,000. Brick ranch-style homes from the 1950s go for similar prices. There are also contemporary split levels from the 1970s dotted throughout the neighborhood, along with traditional Craftsman homes built in the 2020s with pointed roofs and stone accents. Most of these properties have driveways leading to attached garages, and pines and Douglas firs surrounding the manicured lawns. Prices range from $425,000 to $550,000. Most of the retail along the road includes auto repair and tire shops, though there are a handful of unique storefronts like Skyline Cycle, Vintiquers and Bryson’s Rock shop, which sells gemstones and crystals. Rock Bottom Lounge is a dive bar in the area with classic pub fare and live music. There’s also Javier’s Authentic Mexican Food and The Donut Run sweet shop. Farther north on U.S. Route 89 is the Ogden Five-Points shopping center at the intersection of Second Street and Harrisonville Road, with retailers such as Harbor Freight Tools and Dollar Tree.
