Cottages and bungalows line narrow streets
Malcolm X homes line the gridded streets just west of Adams Park. Spacious front lawns provide a sparse suburban feel, while narrow, elm-shaded sidewalks offer walkability within the neighborhood. Though some homes have paved driveways, Many residents park along the street. “Homes really hold their value,” says Sempeck. “So, the neighborhood is considered a particularly smart investment.” Turn-of-the-century one- and two-story cottages, bungalows, and some mid-20th-century ranch-style homes are most common. Prices typically range from $80,000 to $170,000.
