Prairie Pointe borders Zorinsky Lake, where boat ramps and fishing piers line the shoreline. “It’s a no-wake lake, so you don’t ski or anything like that,” Oberhauser says. “Sailboats will come out in the summertime.” Zorinsky Lake Park – Southeast is the closest lakeside park to Prairie Pointe and includes soccer fields and a playground. “There’s a bunch of ball fields, and it's one of the best sounds when you hear the cracking of the bats because it means winter is over,” Oberhauser says. The inclusive playground is on the other side of the lake. The Zorinsky Lake Aquatic Center includes an outdoor pool with slides. In the summer, it hosts the local swim team. Trails surround the lake. Bauermeister Prairie sits on the northern side of the neighborhood, and the Bauermeister Prairie Trail goes alongside it, linking the neighborhood with the Zorinsky Lake Trail.
