About Orange Beach, AL

About Orange Beach, AL

Sunny city on the Gulf of Mexico

Sugar-soft beaches, scenic bays and sultry bayous bring buyers and tourists to Orange Beach. Located on the clear, blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Orange Beach is home to over 8,000 residents who live waterside year-round. “It’s a family-oriented community," says Realtor Antoni Figueiredo, team leader at Local Property Inc., who has been selling homes for nearly a decade. "This area is touristy, but family and community are essential--we know our neighbors here." In addition to the family and community-centric feel, there's plenty of all-ages dining, retail and entertainment along Perdido Beach Boulevard. Local parks and trails along coastal habitats appeal to outdoorsy residents. It's a big area for boating, so Orange Beach has several marinas, and many homes on the water have private docks. And, of course, the beaches offer access to swimming, surfing and sunbathing. The city has been a popular spring break destination, and to keep the community safe for all residents, alcohol is banned on the beaches during tourist season. Orange Beach's investments in its city, including a new wildlife center and other community amenities, promise future growth for the family-friendly city of Orange Beach.

Orange Beach Waterfront Park

White sand beaches and crystal blue waters are the biggest draw in Orange Beach, where residents have nearly year-round access to sunbathing, swimming and boating. Residents share multiple public access points along the shore with visitors during tourist season. Several parks amongst the various islands make up Orange Beach, which offers semi-private, lush beaches amongst the bayous and marshes. Residents can enjoy the fishing pier or art center at Orange Beach Waterfront Park or head to Gulf State Park, which has a nature center and almost 40 miles of paved paths. "Gulf State Park is a favorite for my family," says Figueiredo. "My kids and I go biking on the trails, and you often see local families also enjoying the park." The city's Backcountry Trail is another favorite, rated the nation's best recreational trail in 2023 by USA Today. Fans of soccer can attend a game at the Orange Beach Sportsplex, while families can visit Adventure Island. This amusement park has laser tag, putt-putt golf, go-karts and bumper cars.

Antoni Figueiredo
(251) 758-0586
While attending law school in Brazil, Antoni came to the United States for a quick vacation and like many fell in love with the beauty of the city of Gulf Shores. It did not take him long to decide this was the place he wanted to call home. Being tri-lingual speaking English, Portuguese, and Spanish helped him adjust. Since moving here 20 years ago he has owned his own successful construction business, became a commercial boat captain, and now a real estate agent with Local Property Inc. His career choices have taught him how important and meaningful building relationships and customer service is. When you have Antoni as your agent you are considered a friend not only a client! His attention to detail, drive, and love for all things real estate will have you feeling like you have a family member helping you by your side not just an agent! When he is not helping make dreams come true, he is out surfing, fishing with his kids, or boating with friends. Balance is key and he is here to help you to make the transition to getting those keys as easy as possible!
