About Pine Mountain Club, CA

A small hamlet in a big forest

Surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest, Pine Mountain Club is a mecca for hikers, golfers or anyone who enjoys picturesque mountain views or crisp alpine air. “It’s a gorgeous little hamlet in the middle of 1.7 million acres of national forest,” says Mark Bailey, a Realtor with Fenton Real Estate and a 25-year veteran of the Pine Mountain Club Property Owners Association, now also a member of the commercial property members association. “We have no crime and enjoy all four seasons,” he says. “If you buy a home here, you’re a member.” That membership provides access to an 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse, a resort-style swimming pool, tennis courts, stables and a life filled with outdoor adventure.

PMC member amenities

The Pine Mountain Golf Course is a challenging and beautiful club, privately owned by the community, and only open to property owners and their guests. The community also maintains an equestrian center and stables where residents can board their horses and receive in-house services. The clubhouse features a seven-lane outdoor swimming pool, observable from the second-floor balcony, and two tennis courts behind it. Across the street, Lampkin Park offers a baseball field and a children’s playground with swings and jungle gyms. New bocce ball courts have been installed, and basketball and sand volleyball courts are nearby.

No two homes are alike

Homes in Pine Mountain Club range from $190,000 for a two-bedroom manufactured home to $850,000 for a five-bedroom estate with a four-car garage and multiple balconies. Most homes are built on the side of the mountain, many with multiple floors to maximize the views. Natural wood siding and oversized mansard roofs that show off the wooden tone of the shingles blend well with the surrounding trees and mountain canopy. From time to time, however, a beautiful Victorian will come into view, or an A-line cabin with an elevated, wrap-around porch. “Every house is custom in some way,” says Bailey. “Many are second homes for families or residents who commute or are retired.”
