Along Isabel Avenue, the road turns into State Route 84, a highway that consists of two segments. The segment closest to Vintage Hills runs north to south and connects from San Gregorio and Menlo Park to Fremont and Livermore. First Street feeds into Sunol Boulevard and later into Interstate 680, which connects San Jose to Fairfield. Public buses are available through the Tri-Valley Wheels authority, making stops along Stanley Boulevard and Kottinger Drive. Students can ride for free. Vintage Hills is about 31 miles north of San Jose and 43 miles east of San Francisco. The nearest spot for air travel, San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport, is 25 miles out.
