Walkable streets lined with foliage
Homes lie in a grid pattern, with plenty of street parking and wide sidewalks. Maples and flowering plums appear at every second or third home, towering above the rooftops. Common architectural styles include bungalow, Dutch Colonial and ranch, varying from the mid-twentieth century to the early twenty-first. Houses with both brick and vinyl facades are as typical as either material alone. Prospective buyers can expect to spend anywhere from $500,000 to $700,000 for a backyard with splendid mountain views.

These disposable cups contain a made-to-order combo of meats, noodles and other fixings, which patrons can eat standing or take with them. A hefty slice is equally close at SLABpizza, which serves twists on classic recipes like rosemary potato and bacon or green curry chicken. Grocery stores are relatively close, either a short drive or a bus ride along University Avenue. Smith’s has a variety of deli meats, produce and pre-made pasta salads for folks to grab for the week. A slightly longer trip up State Street takes shoppers to Rancho Markets, which serves freshly baked goods.
