A serene lake and busy shopping centers
Named after its central body of water, Langton Lake offers a relaxed suburban atmosphere with a close-knit community. Phong Cao, a local Realtor with RE/MAX, served as a listing agent for a home in Langton Lake in 2022. “The buyers knew everyone in the neighborhood,'' he says. "They were living there for quite a while and wanted to stay in that area because the people are friendly and they could be close to family.” The lake adds to the serene nature of the community. And while shopping centers are close, they don’t seem to disturb the neighborhood’s peaceful lifestyle. “It’s very quiet when you’re outside your home,” says Cao, “But you drive a mile and you’re in the busy shopping area.”
Langton Lake Park features a trail that crosses the lake.
Rosedale Center attracts more than 10 million visitors annually and is rated a top shopping destination near Langton Lake.

Midcentury houses on spacious suburban yards
Langton Lake’s calm residential streets are filled with cul-de-sacs lined with single-family homes built in the mid-1900s on quarter- to half-acre lots. Bi-level houses are the most common, some of which feature inspirations of Tudor architecture. Many ranch-style homes and Colonial Revivals can also be found. Houses generally range from around 1,600 to 2,000 square feet, selling for $300,000 to $450,000. There are a few houses with up to 3,000 square feet of living space as well, which go for around $500,000 to $575,000. Common features include wide driveways, multi-car garages and fenced backyards, along with mature and diverse trees. The residential landscape is mostly flat with a few gentle slopes. While there are no sidewalks in the neighborhood’s subdivisions, the sparse traffic permits walking and jogging on the streets.
Larger custom bi-level homes on larger lots can be found in the Langton Lake neighborhood.

Retailers and restaurants on and near Country Road C West
Roseville’s busy commercial sector runs through the south side of the neighborhood. County Road C West and its secondary roads are lined with shopping centers, corporate offices and other businesses. National grocers Aldi and Walmart are there, as is Minneapolis chain Lunds & Byerlys. National chain restaurants are prevalent, but there are a few local gems as well - some with lively atmospheres. Locals head to Bent Brewstillery to hang out inside or outside on the patio over craft beer. Tuesday nights at Bent are for Bingo and Thursdays bring the trivia crowd. People are also drawn to Smash Park, where they can have a drink and eat bar food while playing pickleball, duckpin bowling and other games. Rosedale Center, the fourth largest mall in the state, is also about 2 miles south.
Smash Park is located in Roseville's Langton Park and offers an array of outdoor activities.

Trails and other recreational activities at Langton Lake Park
Langton Lake Park is the neighborhood's prime outdoor recreation spot. Fishing from the pier or the lakeside, reachable by a trail around the 25-acre lake, can produce catches of bluegill, bullhead and crappie. The north side of the park features two playgrounds fit for kids who love to climb. There are a few athletics fields as well, including two softball diamonds and a lacrosse field played on by local youth leagues. Oasis Park is a bit smaller, at 14 acres, and is widely used by neighbors. There’s a playground right between a lake and a spacious grassy area. People often rent out the park’s community building to celebrate special occasions. The park also has a large municipal garden with 120 plots rented out by the community.
