Most students head to the B-minus-rated Johnson Senior High School to finish their K-12 career. The 83-acre Beaver Lake makes up the eastern half of Lincoln Park. “The public neighborhood lakes are unique to the north and east sides of the city,” says McCracken. Beaver Lake Park has a baseball diamond, a playground, waterside walking trails and a dock where anglers can fish for bluegill, largemouth bass and black crappie. The Hazel Park Recreation Center is around half a mile from the neighborhood and is home to four baseball diamonds, a playground, tennis courts and an indoor gymnasium. Phalen Regional Park is a short drive northwest and spans across nearly 500 acres. The expansive park has lakeside walking paths, a public golf course, a beach and an amphitheater.

Easy access to Downtown St. Paul
Lincoln Park has bus stops along Nokomis and Stillwater avenues operated by Metro Transit, with service to Downtown Saint Paul and Southeast Minneapolis. “Major thoroughfares are right outside of Lincoln Park and provide easy access to downtown,” McCracken says. “You can take Interstate 95 into the city in less than 15 minutes.” I-95 can also take drivers around 80 miles east to Eau Claire.
Interstate 94 provides convenient access from Lincoln Park to St. Paul, Minneapolis and beyond.
