Why homebuyers are drawn to the area

The median sale price for Burbank is around $1.2 million, much lower than nearby neighborhoods like Rose Garden and Santana Row. Burbank’s more affordable home prices often draw renters, first-time buyers and investors. “Some of the lots are pretty deep where you can build accessory dwelling units,” George says. “It’s definitely investor friendly and appeals to first-time homebuyers or for people who want to build up equity.”

Tons of shopping at Santana Row and Westfield Valley Fair

Burbank is a hub for local restaurants. Popular eateries include Mexican staples such as Dia de Pesca and TacoMania, as well as other international spots like Walia Ethiopian Cuisine. “The area definitely has a diverse food scene,” George says. “It’s also close to a lot of shops, restaurants and retail hubs like Santana Row and Westfield Valley Fair.” The expansive shopping centers lie along Stevens Creek Boulevard and offer tons of fashion and lifestyle boutiques, big-box and department stores, entertainment venues, food courts and restaurants.
