A centrally located neighborhood

Old San Leandro is at the heart of it all. "It’s the downtown part of San Leandro and it’s pretty urban around there,” says Andrea Gordon, a Realtor at Compass with 22 years of realty experience. With its access to restaurants, stores, nearby parks and beautiful homes, the neighborhood is a convenient spot in the city. “It’s become a lot more commercialized now, but you still have some interesting architecture, really nice people and good schools,” Gordon says.

I give public transportation a high rating, but freeway congestion is terrible. Roads are crowded and full of potholes. People drive too fast. I don't feel safe riding a bicycle around town.

I have no complaints about our public services. Our wonderful public library really came in handy when I was unemployed.
