San Leandro High is unique since it offers a course to learn about ethnic studies. The teachers teaching ethnic studies are great and have helped me a lot in both my academic and personal life. Although I do wish the school had better food options since in my opinion aren't very good or nutritious.

Overall it was a decent experience though i feel less ready for college than my friends in other school districts

my experience at San Leandro High. It had its ups and downs, but I made it through in the end. I truly appreciated the unique classes offered that aren't available at many other high schools. Additionally, the beautiful new gym and the strong sports teams added to my overall experience. I was proud to be a part of the cheerleading and track & field teams, which helped me grow both personally and athletically.

My son’s experience in 9th grade left a lot to be desired. First off, at back to school night ‘for equity’s sake’ we aren’t going to let you go through each class on a schedule and have the teachers present to you, instead you can wander through at your own pace. Shameful. It would be reasonably for the school to be closed down and individual student files, behavioral issues, and grade passing to be reviewed by an independent evaluator.

My son is a freshman at SLHS and we have several neighbors with older kids currently at SLHS or who are graduates. SLHS is a large urban high school that is ethnically and socioeconomically diverse.
