Quito Village
Single-family homes and modern townhouses
The homes of Quito Village stand on the flatter side of Saratoga, away from its trademark rolling hills, but they retain the stylish designs and green surroundings that the city is known for. Spanish and Mediterranean-influenced builds stand behind wide streets lined with tall trees, manicured lawns and white picket fences. The neighborhood also holds numerous Craftsman-style houses and townhome options. Townhomes range in price from $700,000 to $1.5 million. The coveted single-family homes in Quito Village usually start around $2 million for a Craftsman rancher needing renovations, while a fully remodeled Mediterranean-style estate asks for up to $4 million. Both Prospect High School and Westmont High School serve this area
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade can attend Gussie M. Baker Elementary, which earns an A rating from Niche. Those in grades six through eight can then head to either Moreland Middle or Rolling Hills Middle School, depending on their neighborhood address; both schools are rated A-minus. Prospect High and Westmont High School, both rated A, serve secondary students in Quito Village and offer advanced placement programs.El Quito Park is a popular community gathering spot
El Quito Park sits in the heart of the neighborhood and gives residents instant access to walkable green space. The park’s main lawn frequently hosts community events like outdoor movie screenings and little league soccer games; green-thumbed residents can claim a plot at the park’s Saratoga Community Garden. Bellgrove Park sits at the edge of the neighborhood along the West Valley Freeway and has a small network of paved walking paths, as well as two playgrounds at either end of the park. Outdoor enthusiasts are also only a short drive away down Saratoga Avenue from the Santa Cruz Mountains, which features a landscape of preserved natural areas and miles of hiking trails dotted with scenic overlooks.Shopping and dining options right up the road
Shopping and dining options are right up the road from Quito Village. The Westgate Center sits at the neighborhood’s northern edge and offers department stores like Target and Nordstrom Rack, as well as grocery stores like Smart & Final Extra and Trader Joe’s. This shopping center also features casual dining options like Jack’s Restaurant and Bar, a Bay Area staple that serves classic American bar fare with a Greek twist. Residents can try authentic Indian cuisine at The Mynt, which is known for its all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. “A lot of community events and the local farmers market are hosted in downtown Campbell,” says Saundra Leonard, a Realtor with Keller Williams Bay Area Estates who has over 30 years of real estate experience. She notes that popular events include downtown Campbell’s Oktoberfest in the fall and Music in the Park during the summer months.Convenient access to main roads
Quito Village’s three boundaries are all bordered by main roads: Saratoga Avenue, Quito Road and Route 85. All three travel north and connect to Interstate 280, a regional thoroughfare that runs through downtown San Jose and Silicon Valley. Although most people in this neighborhood prefer to drive, residents can take advantage of public bus and light rail services operated by Valley Transportation Authority. “The regional light rail runs all the way from Los Gatos into downtown San Jose,” Leonard says. San Jose Mineta International Airport is a 13-mile drive away and offers dozens of direct domestic flights to cities across the United States. The Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center and its 24-hour emergency room are roughly 4.5 miles north of the neighborhood.
