“People really like that you can find very diverse housing options in Signal Hills and it’s more affordable than Long Beach,” Silva says. “The west side has older homes, and east of Cherry Avenue has newer builds in gated communities.” Two-story Mediterranean-inspired and New Traditional homes between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet may list between $1 million and over $1.5 million. Bungalows from the 1950s are around $700,000, and townhouses can go for $600,000 and $700,000. Condominium units range from $400,000 to slightly over $700,000.

The drive from Signal Hill to Los Angeles takes about 23 miles via Interstate 710, and Los Angeles International Airport is about 20 miles west through Interstate 405.
