The park also houses The Amenity Center, which has a 24/7 fitness center and is a hub for community gatherings and events. Artavia is surrounded by thousands of acres of northern Houston forest, one of the region’s most striking features. “I’ve heard the comments so many times of people that move here, and as they drive into the area, you see these magnificent tall pine and oak trees that change the landscape,” says Lauri Kent, a Realtor with Green & Associates Real Estate who has lived in Houston since 1964.There are only two houses of worship in the Artavia area—College Park Church of Christ on Conroe Porter Road and Calvary Outreach Church on Chappereal Pipeline Road.
