Westgate is a small community within Palm Beach County that offers many of the same perks of living in West Palm Beach, including proximity to the ocean. However, compared to West Palm Beach, Westgate’s homes are considerably less expensive. “For less than a half-million dollars, you're just a hop, skip and a jump from the beach,” says Josh Glasser, owner and managing broker of The Meta Group Florida. “It’s hard to find single-family homes so close to the beach in the $400,000 range.”

Westgate’s residential streets are lined with small, ranch-style homes built in the 1950s. They often feature three bedrooms and span about 1,000 square feet.
