Belmont Shore, or "The Shore," is the city's business district. Here residents find upscale shops, coffee houses and restaurants. While Long Beach is the second-largest city in Los Angeles County, it has a relatively small feel. Its coastal boundary makes up almost one-fourth of its complete circumference.
