Natural beauty in Belle Meade
With a name meaning “beautiful meadow,” it’s easy to see why Belle Meade is sought after. This small, independent city is within Nashville’s Davidson County, 9 miles from downtown. “Belle Meade has long been seen as one of the most desirable neighborhoods in West Nashville. It’s historically the most affluent area in the city,” says Richard Courtney, broker at Fridrich & Clark Realty, LLC, who has over 45 years of experience in the real estate industry. The area was once a part of the historic Belle Meade Farm and still has a sense of its historic, equestrian community. As its name indicates, the beautiful land has stunning vistas and rolling hills. “Every home has a certain charm to it. It’s surrounded by greenery and typically boasts large lots, though not quite as large as West Meade,” Courtney says. Today, Belle Meade is a city with natural beauty, abundant recreation, and strong ties to its past.

It's a great neighborhood (well more of a town). Extremely safe and have their own police department. Public schools aren't the best but also aren't the worst (no one has their kids in public school here...we're probably the only ones who are public in all of belle meade). Real Estates expensive but that's because of the very high quality of living here. There's no diversity at all in Belle Meade.
