Home sites in a Virginia resort that showcase “refined country living” are for sale by a brokerage with deep roots in the region.
Brokerage Corcoran McEnearney is offering 49 residential properties within the Salamander Middleburg resort that is being developed by Salamander Collection, whose CEO is Sheila Johnson, the co-founder of Black Entertainment Television. The resort is about an hour west of Washington, D.C., in an area known for its horse farms, fox hunts and historical villages. Those villages include Middleburg, which has a population of 669 and is a little more than a half mile from the resort.
Sale prices at the Residences at Salamander start at about $2.5 million. Homes will range from 2,100 to 5,000 square feet.
Corcoran McEnearney started in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1980 and now has more than 420 agents in the state, the nation’s capital, Maryland and West Virginia. The brokerage is part of The Corcoran Group’s 4,500-salesperson network; The Corcoran Group is a subsidiary of Anywhere Real Estate, which RealTrends ranks as the second-largest brokerage in the U.S. by sales volume.
“Middleburg’s vibrant community and historic beauty has continued to grow in popularity among high-net-worth consumers, and the introduction of these luxury contemporary residences is perfectly timed to match the market’s demand,” Peter Pejacsevich, broker/owner of Corcoran McEnearney, said in a statement.

The median single-family home sale price in Middleburg over the 12-month period ending in February was $1.4 million, according to Homes.com data. The median household income in the area is $107,000.
The Residences at Salamander homes will range from two to four bedrooms, with designs intended to reflect Middleburg’s heritage, according to the statement. Owners will have priority on reservations at the resort's spa and restaurants, access to equestrian facilities, and memberships in nearby golf and tennis clubs. Salamander Collection is co-developing the Residences at Salamander with South Street Partners.
Corcoran McEnearney, originally known as McEnearney Associates, merged in June 2023 with Pejacsevich’s Middleburg Real Estate/Atoka Properties. The brokerage joined the Corcoran Group network in November 2024.
“While maintaining independence, we now gain access to cutting-edge technology, refined marketing strategies, an expanded network and enhanced resources,” Pejacsevich said in a November statement announcing they were joining Corcoran's network.
