Canadian homebuilder Mattamy Homes has acquired a chunk of land in southeast Phoenix with plans for a new village within a larger master-planned community.
Mattamy purchased 28 acres within the larger 473-acre Soleo planned community in San Tan Valley, joining fellow builders such as Tri Pointe Homes and David Weekley Homes. Mattamy plans to build 115 homes with floorplates ranging from 1,535 to 2,555 square feet.
Models are expected to begin construction this month, with a grand opening expected in late January. Mattamy said pricing is "coming soon" for the Soleo community.
Mattamy could not be immediately reached for comment.
A 15-acre grand park is the centerpiece for Soleo, which includes a 2-acre lake, sports fields, an outdoor pool, a boulder climbing wall, and more.
