EXp Realty is adding a top-producing agent in Southern California as it continues leaning into its quality over quantity recruitment strategy.
Costanza Genoese Zerbi, founder of Genoese Zerbi & Associates in Long Beach, joined the international brokerage, according to a news release Wednesday. Zerbi’s husband, Neil, is joining with her.
“I was looking for that rare mix of strong infrastructure and zero bureaucracy,” Zerbi said in a statement. “EXp gives me the tools and autonomy to operate at my best.”
Though Zerbi finished 2024 with $65 million in volume on 65 units, she’s previously had years as high as $91 million. She said she’s joining eXp to “get back to my $91M year — and beyond.” Zerbi had previously worked at Coldwell Banker and Redfin.
The partnership comes about a month after eXp reported softer-than-expected first-quarter earnings. As part of that report, the brand said its agent count had decreased 5% from a year earlier.
At the time, Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty, said the brokerage is focused on agent productivity and performance rather than agent count. Since then, the brand has also added an Arizona team with more than 50 agents.
“Costanza represents the kind of visionary leadership and production-level excellence that thrives at eXp,” Pareja said in a statement regarding Zerbi’s move. “She’s not only a top producer, but also a collaborative force in the industry.”
