Kolter Homes is starting the second phase of a 55-and-over development near Atlanta that's expected to have 700 homes at buildout.
The 97 lots at Cresswind at Spring Haven in Newnan, Georgia, follow the 150 homes in the first phase that launched last year, according to the builder. Newnan is nearly 40 miles southwest of Atlanta.
Floor plans include two to five bedrooms that range from 1,500 to 4,000 square feet, with prices ranging from the high $300,000s to the $800,000s.
Kolter Homes recently broke ground on a clubhouse and said it expects the facility to open early next year. The so-called Club Cresswind will have a cardio studio, training center, lounge, game rooms and an arts and crafts studio.
Outdoor amenities include pickleball and tennis courts and a pool with a sundeck, according to the builder. A full-time lifestyle director will coordinate clubs, events and activities.
Kolter Homes builds more than a dozen other "active adult" developments in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina, mostly under the Cresswind brand, according to the company's website.
The company, based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is a division of The Kolter Group, the nation's 48th-largest homebuilder based on its 1,479 sales last year, according to Builder magazine.
