A new development in Southern California is bringing more than 100 new homes to a fast-growing industrial hotspot.
Texas-based LGI Homes said its launching sales at its Ocotilla Ranch community in Apple Valley on June 14. The development includes 128 lots with three-, four- and five-bedroom floor plans.
The new homes come at a time of growth for the town in San Bernardino County, according to Mayor Scott Nassif.
“We’re thrilled to see thoughtful development that offers new opportunities for families to put down roots and be part of our growing town,” he said in a statement Wednesday.
The town has recently introduced a series of industrial projects that will create multiple multimillion-square-foot warehouses and distribution centers, according to local media reports.
“With the industrial development booming in North Apple Valley, more people are choosing to live closer to where they work,” Nassif said. “Ocotilla Ranch helps meet that demand and strengthens our vision of Apple Valley as a great place to live, work, and play.”
Upgraded smart homes at no extra cost
Homes in Ocotilla Ranch range in size from 1,454 square feet to 2,533 square feet. There are five options, according to the development’s website.
The smallest option — a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a two-car garage — starts at $519,900. The largest option — a five-bedroom, three-bathroom house with a three-car garage — didn’t have a listed price.
The median single-family home price in Apple Valley was $464,700 on May 31, according to Homes.com data.
Residences will feature stucco and brick exteriors “with designs that reflect the natural beauty of the region, including desert landscaping and elegant architectural detailing.”
All Ocotilla Ranch homes also will come with LGI Homes’ highest upgrade package at no extra cost. That package includes professional landscaping, Whirlpool kitchen appliances, higher ceilings and smart home technology.
