Maggie Gold Seelig, who has spent more than two decades building a real estate career in Massachusetts, has been hired as an agent for the New York-based Corcoran Group, the brokerage announced.

Seelig started MGS Group Real Estate in Boston after working for Coldwell Banker. She has amassed more than $2 billion in real estate sales across her career, Corcoran said. She is also known for helping former NFL quarterback Tom Brady sell his properties.

The agent already has experience in New York City's housing scene. She helped a client buy a condominium unit at 220 Central Park South on Manhattan's Billionaire Row in 2023 — an effort that later won her the Stratospheric Sale Award from The Hollywood Reporter, Corcoran said.

Seelig is a New York City native with a bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College and a law degree from the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining Corcoran, Seelig worked for the Modlin Group. She plans to continue operating MGS Group Real Estate.

“I’ve always found the Corcoran brand incredibly inspiring, and as I grew my business in New York City, it became clear that joining Corcoran was the right step to ensure my New York clients receive the highest level of service and support,” she said in a statement.

Seelig is the latest name in a series of high-profile agents joining Corcoran. Kirsten "K.J." Jordan, the first woman to join the cast of Bravo network's "Million Dollar Listing New York," left brokerage Douglas Elliman earlier this year to join Corcoran. Whitney Didier joined the brokerage last month.

Corcoran officials said in a statement that Seelig has been a top-producing agent because she has a broad network of industry connections and has earned the trust of discerning buyers.

"She's a powerhouse in the industry, and with the strength of Corcoran behind her, I have no doubt she and her team will be an unstoppable force in New York City’s real estate market," Corcoran CEO Pamela Liebman said in a statement.

Seelig said joining Corcoran was a move that she felt would help her career and clients.

“I have the utmost confidence in Pam Liebman — not only as a respected colleague but also as a trusted friend," Seelig said in a statement. "Gaining access to the powerful platform she leads is exactly the move I had to make to best serve my clients and continue to make an impact in the New York City luxury market.”

Seelig will be in Corcoran's East Side office in Manhattan, along with two other new hires — Max Clayton and Stephanie Landess.

Clayton is a New Hampshire native and veteran Broadway actor who joined the real estate industry during the pandemic. He recently played Billy Flynn in the production of Chicago. He also worked as Hugh Jackman's standby in The Music Man.

Landess, a former auctioneer for Sotheby's and Christie's, is joining Corcoran after building a design and renovation firm.
