A phone technology executive has called for the sale of his Seattle residence, setting his sights on a fresh beginning.
Aircall CEO Scott Chancellor wants to sell his Seattle pad on Mercer Island for $6.99 million. Chancellor leads the technology start-up Aircall, a company focused on providing an Internet-based platform for phone calls. Long aspiring to design his own home, Chancellor plans to move onto another Mercer Island site to build his dream residence.
Sitting on Lake Washington, the two-story house dates to 1986 and offers four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two powder bathrooms. The 4,361-square-foot residence also has a library, office and dock.
Prior owners gave it a refresh in 2008 with the help of Jim Olson, founder of the Seattle-based architecture firm Olson Kundig. Known for its industrial modern design, Olson Kundig was highlighted by Architectural Digest as a top 100 firm in 2024.

"It looks like you’re right on top of the water," said listing agent Nick Gerisilo of John L. Scott Real Estate/Luxury Portfolio International, highlighting the residence's floor-to-ceiling windows. "It feels like a jewel box."

Chancellor bought the house in 2021 for $4.6 million. His favorite feature? Gerisilo said his client particularly enjoys the communal hub right outside the primary bedroom, which includes the library.
Prospective buyers may want to know that the residence doesn't offer a level walkway to the water; there are stairs to a dock, which Gerisilo said could make it difficult for some people to access the lake.

Another home on the market on West Mercer Way, a 2,910-square-foot residence, has a price tag of $6 million, or $2,062 per square foot. Chancellor's house is listed for $1,603 per square foot. Direct access on the water comes at a higher price — think up to another $4 million — with the desired west-facing views where the sun sets and gains the most daylight, Gerisilo said.
