Atlanta's "Goat Mansion" is off the market, but new petting zoo tours and pet tarot readings by appointment are on at the property.
This spring, owner Cam Ashling asked $2.85 million for the North Buckhead Airbnb that has goats and other farm animals in the front yard. She lowered the price slightly to attract potential buyers, but demand remained tepid this summer as the local housing market reset.
She figured it was best to re-evaluate when her listing agreement with Dorsey Alston Realtors expired in August, agent Frank Nelson said.
"No buyer interest now," Ashling told Homes.com via text this week.
While Ashling still intends to run the eight-bedroom residence at 3809 Wieuca Road NE as a short-term rental, she's adding the side ventures to help her pay property taxes that totaled more than $36,700 in 2024, according to public records.

What's more, she said she plans to sell merchandise, accept food donations for the animals and enlist annual sponsors.
If that doesn't help, Ashling said, she may have to consider selling her Cumming, Georgia, farm, and that would force her to find new homes for about 40 animals there.
Ashling launched the 8,812-square-foot Goat Mansion more than a decade ago after she adopted a 120-pound Great Pyrenees, a dog breed known for guarding livestock.
Ashling figured Luna, the dog, would be happiest with something to protect, so she added goats in the front yard. And it became a thing, thanks to "livestock-friendly" zoning laws in Fulton County, Georgia, she said.
Ashling eventually had to turn Luna over to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta, a group that found the dog a new home, she said. But the farm animals stayed, and she later added three goats, an emu, a domestic turkey, a chicken and a miniature donkey. She plans to add peacocks to the mix later this month.
Atlanta's housing market has struggled recently, with more listings leading to price declines. In many cases, prospective buyers are holding off, waiting for mortgage rates to decline, agent Nelson told Homes.com.
"It's a soft spot in the market, and it's just not in this area," he said.
