A PulteGroup executive who took advantage of an in-house program to groom senior leaders has been promoted to president of the homebuilder's Dallas division.
Scott Bryson, who has spent nearly 20 years at PulteGroup, will oversee a division that sold roughly 1,600 homes and recorded $700 million in revenue last year, according to the company.
Early last year, Bryson took part in PulteGroup's Leadership Academy meant to "prepare high-potential leaders for advancement into senior roles," the company said.
The company was eager to promote from within, according to Charlie Tipton, president of PulteGroup's central area. Bryson has held positions in finance and operations since joining PulteGroup in 2006.
Bryson moved to the Dallas market in 2008 as director of finance. He most recently served as the Dallas division's vice president of operations. His operational experience and understanding of the Dallas market made him the ideal candidate to be division president, Tipton said in a statement.
"Scott's promotion demonstrates the strength and depth of our management team and our ability to cultivate leaders who have operational skills and understand both our company culture and local market dynamics," he said.
Bryson could not immediately be reached to comment through a company spokesperson.
Atlanta-based PulteGroup is the nation's third-largest U.S. homebuilder based on 31,219 sales last year, according to Builder magazine. The company generated $17.3 billion in revenue in 2024 while building under the Del Webb, John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, DiVosta, Pulte Homes, Centex and American West brands.
