New York real estate brokerage Douglas Elliman has added another agent to its Hamptons-based staff, hiring Sag Harbor resident Jon Vaccari.

Vaccari is a noted interior designer whose work has been in Architectural Digest and Martha Stewart Living, Elliman said. He has a background in advertising sales, property development and historic restoration, the Hamptons arm of Elliman, Noble Black and Partners, said in a statement. Vaccari previously worked for three years at Hedgerow Exclusive Properties, a brokerage based in Bridgehampton.

"Joining Noble Black and Partners felt like a natural next step," Vaccari said in a statement, adding that his new co-workers have a "client dedication that deeply resonates with me."

Douglas Elliman grows Hamptons office

Vaccari marks the third agent hire Elliman has made specifically for the Noble Black team. The brokerage hired James Averitt Buttry and William Schumann in May 2025. Earlier this year, Elliman also added Agnes Wanielista and Chelsea Redick in the Hamptons.

Vaccari has "diligence, integrity and discretion," Noble Black said in a statement, adding that "Jon's design eye and market insight are unparalleled."

Discretion is one of the key traits an agent will need when selling homes on the East End of Long Island, an area known for its celebrity sightings and sandy beaches.

For years, wealthy individuals who bought a home in the Hamptons have used it as a summer vacation spot for their families, but agents say more buyers want a year-round home in the area.

The Hamptons — where the median home sales price hit a record $2.04 million in the first quarter — is a unique housing market in that most homes are only a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, so owning a house there also comes with an increased risk of property damage due to flooding.

Still, some of the nation's biggest actors and entertainers — including Alec Baldwin, Jennifer Lopez, and Gwyneth Paltrow — have homes in the Hamptons. Vaccari and other agents in the area know they must keep the details of buying and selling luxury homes in the Hamptons — particularly to celebrities — quiet.
