A young Seattle brokerage that’s sold hundreds of Washington homes and is looking to grow has joined up with real estate technology company The Real Brokerage.

Tracy Erickson founded the 15-agent brokerage, dubbed The Collective Group, in 2020, and it announced its decision to team with Real in a joint press release published Thursday.

“Tracy and her team exemplify what we look for in team leaders at Real,” Real chairman and CEO Tamir Poleg said in the release. “The Collective Group’s incredible productivity, deep local expertise and commitment to mentoring and collaboration make them a perfect cultural fit.”

Since its launch five years ago, The Collective Group has traded about 600 homes valued at $575 million, Miami-based Real said. That's roughly 180 homes valued at $148 million so far this year. With that volume under its belt, the group has been investigating growth opportunities “over the past several months,” Erickson told Homes.com over email. Real seemed the right partner, she continued, partly because of its “commitment to agent empowerment.”

“We’ve been exploring how to scale in a way that keeps our culture, client service, and agent-first philosophy intact while trying to find the right place to collaborate with other like-minded leaders,” Erickson said. “This wasn’t a decision made lightly — it was the result of ongoing conversations and a shared belief in where the industry is headed.”

The move also reflects Real’s growth strategy of growing “organically by attracting and retaining top-producing teams and agents through our differentiated platform,” Poleg told Homes.com in August.

For The Collective Group, that growth is “intentional, values-driven, and future-ready,” Erickson said. “For us, that means expanding our footprint without compromising on quality, supporting our agents with modern tools and mentorship, and building a brand that resonates with today’s real estate consumer.”

The partnership is one of a few that Real has secured so far this year. In August, Showcase Real Estate joined the 2014-founded company under its 'Private Label' program. The Flagstaff, Arizona-based JBRE jumped aboard in July, just after the Houston-headquartered Legacy Collective.
