Toll Brothers and four other homebuilders are heading to a 430-acre development outside Houston.

Master developer Shea Homes said it selected Toll, Perry Homes, Coventry Homes and Newmark Homes to build on lots ranging in size from 40 to 70 feet at Wildtree in western Montgomery County, Texas. Shea will also build there in addition to developing the land.

Sales are set to begin in the fall, with prices ranging from the $300,000s to the $800,000s, according to Shea. Wildtree is expected to have about 1,000 homes by the time it's finished by 2033.

Toll, based in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, ranks as the nation's 10th-largest homebuilder based on 10,813 sales last year, according to Builder magazine. Shea of Walnut, California, is the 34th-largest builder with 2,511 sales in 2024.

Wildtree is located along FM 1486, south of the Bluejack National golf community. The project's easy access to the Aggie Expressway makes it an appealing location for consumers who work 50 miles west in College Station, home to Texas A&M University, according to Keith Luechtefeld, Shea's Houston division president.

Shea is the master developer of three other projects in the Houston metropolitan area, one of the nation's fastest-growing regions. The others are Del Bello Lakes in Manvel, Evergreen in Conroe and Woodhavyn near Wildtree.
