Alex was born and raised in Manhattan Beach and attended school in Palos Verdes, growing up in a family whose world revolved around residential real estate.

For nearly half a century, Alex's family name has been synonymous with luxury real estate. Alex's father, Larry, is a 50 year veteran in the industry. His father successfully started and ran the #1 independent real estate company in L.A. County, which at its peak was doing over $2 billion in sales volume a year, offering their clients a full suite of real estate services. Alex's very first summer job was filing papers at their family owned escrow company when he was 15 years old.

In 2006, Alex and his brother Tyler joined forces to start their own team and continue the tradition of excellence that ran in his family.
