Raised in the foothills of Reno, NV by a skiing family, Alex moved to the beaches of California to attend college at UCSB, spending a year of his studies abroad in Vienna, Austria learning German, and experiencing the finer things in life. Having graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, his first post collegiate job was at Porsche Motors in Stuttgart, Germany marketing 911’s and Boxsters, but he decided he should set his sights higher, move back to the States and become a Lift Operator at Mt. Rose Ski area. He quickly realized this was not going to be a life-long career! Hence, his move to San Francisco . . .

Living in San Francisco with his wife and two boys, who both attend SFUSD public schools, Alex enjoys surfing, skiing, cycling and golf. He’s a small entrepreneur and big-time blogger. This website, theFrontSteps.com gets over 400,000 readers annually (sometimes more, sometimes less), and is filled with all kinds of juicy real estate porn and in depth market data. Additionally, he founded a website for off market real estate (PocketListings.net), which was acquired, started a San Francisco real estate newsletter (sfnewsletter.com), and most recently a content marketing service for his colleagues called “The Goods”.

With almost 20 years of Bay Area real estate under his belt, “Top Producer” status, and countless industry connections, Alex has a tremendous amount of knowledge and expertise to put to work for you.
