An avid mountain biker and hiker, Amber is deeply inspired by the beauty of the Southwest and feels grateful to be living in such a wonderful community.

She is a passionate advocate for the health and well-being of the local economy and is actively involved in several organizations which work to help our area’s vitality. Her family ranching background has given her a deep appreciation of local agriculture and sustainable food sources.

Land conservation, ranching, sustainable agriculture, and preserving as much open space as possible while still accommodating the growing demand for development, is of great interest and importance to Amber. She believes much of the beauty of the West lies in its wildness.

I was an out of town buyer so, efficiently was a must when I flew into town. Talking with Amber on the phone she assessed my wants. She then sent me many properties to look at before I came to town. When I finally met her she was warm and friendly and full of ideas. When we went out to look at properties she had them lined up perfectly.
Well, we looked a several properties and I came to a decision to put an offer on one. As it turns out someone else was about to put an offer on the same one. She talked to me about a strategy to improve my chances in getting my offer accepted. I really wanted this property! My offer was accepted!
Amber also put me in touch with many great people such as a lender, an insurance co, a handy man and the utilities to help me with a smooth transition.
So if you are looking for a great realtor, Amber Johnson is your best choice!

Amber helped me with a complicated and challenging transaction on a mixed use commercial property in Durango. Her professional demeanor, grasp of details, and keen negotiating skills helped me purchase the target property at a price quite a bit below what I had initially expected to pay. Her specific knowledge of Durango and the ins and outs of developing a property vis a vis the city and its regulatory hurdles was incredibly helpful. I highly recommend her!
