My husband and I have bought and sold with Bret and he is amazing! Bret has such great knowledge of the area and the Estes Park neighborhoods. On the day of closing for buying our Estes Park home, a water pipe had burst. Bret was with us through it all, helping to make sure we were taken care of and that our needs were met for the repairs. Because of our great experience working with Bret to buy the home, when it was time to sell we knew exactly who to call. We had already moved when it was time to sell. Bret went above and beyond helping us make sure the house was ready to sell and getting us more than we ever expected for the house. Bret is friendly, enthusiastic, and a hard worker. He is the all around best choice if you are looking for a realtor in the Estes Park area!

What can I say about Bret and Melanie. My wife and I are incredibly lucky to have worked with them this past year. We were moving to Estes Park from Michigan this past July and they made our move, which seemed impossible at times, very simple and exciting! They were there for us literally 24/7 and helped us find our dream home in the mountains. If we know anyone moving to Estes or we decide to move into a new home ourselves there is no one else we would want to work with or recommend. 10/10! They are amazing realtors and fantastic people. We consider ourselves lucky to call them our friends.

Bret Freedman went above and beyond to be sure that the purchase of our townhome went smoothly. All of our questions were answered. We were treated very fairly. Given my wife's real estate background experience, we felt a degree of caring in our communication with Bret that was very reassuring. Bret made sure that the relationship with the sellers was always fair, and that the property sale closing happened in a timely manner. Both Lisa and I would highly recommend Bret Freedman in the future to anyone. One thing we were higly impressed by was the response rate while working with Bret. After trying to sell Dripping Springs Resort for a very long time, and having multiple realtors take on the task, we listed with Estes Park Home Finders. Over the years we had several contracts at various stages fall through for different reasons, all of them only to build on our frustrations and distrust of the realtors. When the listing agent doesn’t believe in the value of what he/she is selling, and doesn’t bring quality buyers to the table, nothing ever gets done. Bret helped my wife and I find the house of our dreams in Estes Park, CO! We had him show us 2 properties that we were interested in and quickly realized that we needed to keep looking. Bret sensed our disappointment and offered to take us to his office (on a weekend) to see if he could find any other properties that might be meet our requirements. After about 30 minutes we saw our house, which was just listed 2 days earlier. We walked through the front door about 30 minutes later and loved it immediately! We made an offer that evening and closed the deal about 30 days later.
3 weeks later our daughter and son-in-law were married in our back yard with the sunset over the Rocky Mountain National Park providing the perfect backdrop!
None of this would have happened without Bret's experience and guidance. I highly recommend Bret to anyone looking for an experienced and friendly realtor in the Estes Valley and surrounding area!

We highly recommend Bret Freedman.

My wife and I started our relationship with Bret in June of 2010 in search for a lot in the Estes Park area while still living in California. It became quickly apparent how knowledgeable a real estate professional Bret was. His knowledge of the area and mastery of details from the Town’s bureaucracy, land use specifics, water rights, and possibly unseen costs or hazards related to specific properties, served us well.

As an example, the Meadowdale Hills lot we were interested in seemed just right in many aspects, but Bret’s research revealed that the available water well on the property was only producing 20 gallons per day, which meant a questionable long term water supply, extra cost for on site storage, or frequent trips to the Town water tank; so we passed on that property.

Bret continued to look for properties for us after we decided to buy a second home in Estes. During his search he personally interviewed neighbors in a couple locations we thought were promising, but his investigations reveal issues with the home owners associations that would have been very difficult to deal with. Eventually Bret found us a 1930’s cabin on the Big Thomason River, which we purchased, vacationed in, and successful rented as a vacation home for a couple of years. Eventually Bret sold that property for us at a nice profit.

When we decided in 2012 to move to and retire in Estes Park, Bret went back to work in October of that year searching for just the right property for us even though we still lived in California. Bret found us a lot and a builder for a great new Townhome close to downtown which we move into in early 2014. During the flood in 2013 Bret went out in the middle of the storm to capture pictures of our rental cabin on the river, and our new Townhome under construction and sent the pictures to us in California; which was service above and beyond anything he needed to do for us.

Needing a larger home, we once again called on Bret’s services in 2016, this time it lead to a plan to build our own home on an empty lot in Estes. Not only did Bret help us buy the lot we wanted, at approximately $45,000 below it’s listed value, he found us a building contractor, at no compensation to himself, that would build on a lot many other contractors said was too difficult or expensive to build on.

Unlike many realtors we have dealt with in past years, Bret will go the extra mile for you, and really earns his commission.

Bret was excellent at selling my property in Estes Park. He used social media along with the more typical real estate sites and was able to find a buyer for my house very quickly. He communicated well throughout the sales process and kept the sale moving forward, even when there were the inevitable hiccups in the process. Bret gets the job done.

We had purchased 2 homes with him and both time he was very helpful, always on time, understanding and supportive, at time when I thought that things were not looking that good.
