About Carolina

Carolina Lara is one of the team leaders for the Duek Lara Group, acquired by One Sotheby’s International Realty in February of 2020. The group focuses on facilitating the transition of clients who are moving the South Florida, with focus on foreign nationals, and more specifically, Brazilians.

She was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and moved to the United Stated in 1997 when she was 16. In 2004 she graduated in architecture from University of Florida, and after working in Washington DC and Miami, she went to Rio de Janeiro, where she worked for many years in one of the main architectural firms of the country. There she was a coordinating architect in charge of projects in fifteen states, ranging from office buildings and hotels to luxury condominium complexes. She designed and prepared feasibility studies of those large-scale projects for the main developers in Brazil, and that was when she started to learn about developments and Real Estate and went back to school to take courses about it.

Carolina started her Real Estate carrier in 2010 when she returned to the United States. Short after, she became a co-founder for Duek Realty and found a new passion not only in advising and helping clients with their all their real estate related needs, but also on working towards making the company grow and mentoring new agents to see them get to their full potential. It was not long until Carolina was recognized by her peers and clients as respectable and knowledgeable real estate professional.

Married and mom to a beautiful boy, Carolina believes in dedication, consistence, and teamwork. She is a lover of art, architecture, music, dance, and cultures. Because of this Miami is the perfect place to work, continue growing her business, raise her family and make new clients and friends.
