Cheri Belz has architecture in her blood and was greatly impacted by her father who was a modernist architect in the 1950’s and 60's and passed away when she was very young. She grew up surrounded by architecture, design, and real estate development.
After beginning her career as an artist/art & architectural historian, she turned to architectural design in 1979.
Architecturally licensed in Colorado, Utah, and Texas, Belz designs and builds custom spec homes in a modern, organic style. Additionally, she has been involved in real estate development and investments for more than 35 years..
Belz obtained her real estate license in early 2003 to complete the picture of total services she can offer a client. She has helped clients buy and sell homes in the Boulder, Broomfield, Niwot, and Denver areas.
In addition to working one-on-one with clients to help them obtain their dream home, she also designs, builds, and sells custom spec homes.
Each home, with a unique flow of forms and spaces, is approached with a deep respect for the environment, incorporating passive solar gain and using natural regional materials. Designs are site specific, with the form and scale of the project carefully integrated into the landscape.
Cheri Belz always tries to include solar orientation and natural materials in her designs, whether a client specifies it or not. But, more and more, clients are beginning to make specific requests to incorporate green features in their homes. Home buyers still have many preconceived notions about the ‘green’ look.
