Outside of a busy career, Chona enjoys simple pleasures when she's at home, like tending to her organic garden, caring for her "farm" (4 cats, 2 dogs, & 5 tortoises!), experimenting in her home kitchen with new recipes as seen on The Food Network, and schooling her family with facts she learned on the History Channel, HGTV,National Geographic and The Discovery Channel.
Chona is active in her community. She is a firm believer of supporting the community she lives and works in. Some of her involvement and volunteer work include: Make A Wish Foundation, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society,Wildlife Waystation,YMCA,Operation Gratitude & St Didacus Church
