I highly recommend Chris Hanson. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of Newburgh in particular, and, in general, is well informed and up to date on real estate in the Hudson Valley. He knows houses. He is upfront and honest if he spots problem areas, and offers valuable advice and insights, drawing on his extensive experience. He has the qualities you want in a realtor: He is skillful, ethical, and personable. My search took a long time, as I lived in another state and made periodic visits to look at properties. He was very patient!

After 6+ months of searching for a home in Newburgh (using a combination of other agents and our own attempts) we gave Chris a call. Chris came highly recommended by other people we met in Newburgh. Our first conversation was over an hour long and extremely thorough. His love for and knowledge about Newburgh runs deep. In this crazy COVID market, I believe Chris has his finger on the pulse for home selling/buying in Newburgh and the Hudson Valley. My home was beautifully presented (in photos and description) and listed at a price I was happy with. The viewings were well organized and offers scrutinized closely to get us the best buyer.
On the buying side, it's a pleasure to check out homes with Chris because he has a great vision for properties and enthusiasm for seeing their potential. It made the experience fun for the most part. Chris was great at managing relationships and keeping the deals going when things got sticky.
