David Hammerschmidt

Being a second-generation Realtor in the Hammerschmidt family, David Hammerschmidt grew up touring homes, had a garage full of his dad's yard signs. His dad was a great Realtor. Everywhere they went, David and his siblings knew it would take way longer than expected as their dad would always stop and talk to everyone! They would roll their eyes knowing it was going to be a while. He taught David the ethics and hard work required in real estate. It was never about the sale; it was always about helping people. And now it's what he loves the most about real estate.... the people. And life is always about helping others.

While he thoroughly embraces the ever-changing market, technology, social media and systems that can help save his clients time and money, he still believes in the "old fashioned" activities of answering the phone, listening to his client's need's, questions and concerns. And yes, also stopping and talking to people everywhere he goes! Just ask his son Jack!

Growing up and raising a family in southwest Michigan, his in-depth knowledge of their wonderful, small communities coupled with his professional background of 20+ years in real estate has helped him guide hundreds of families through the buying and selling process. David feels very fortunate to have known and worked with so many amazing people over the years and he’s thankful to be able to make so many long-lasting relationships with his clients.

He always tells people if he ever sounds like "that salesman guy”, fire him! The goal will never be just getting the sale. His goal will always be helping people in any way that he can. Helping people understand the real estate market and its challenges, guiding people through the buying and selling process so that they will always feel educated and confident in their decisions while also making it a fun and enjoyable adventure together! Whether it is your very first home, in any price range, it is important to him that his clients immediately sense that their satisfaction is his objective.

His wife Trudy always says that he goes above and beyond. David considers his success directly connected to how much he can help people. He will always do what it takes to makes things right.
