David Kennedy

David grew up in Garner, North Carolina which is south of Raleigh, and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He spent the next five years in Los Angeles acting and studying at The Groundlings, a world-renowned improv and sketch comedy theatre and school. In 2004, David moved to the Queen City because he needed foot surgery and found that the best surgeon happened to live in Charlotte at the time. He liked Charlotte so much that he never left! David spent 16 years with T.R. Lawing, one of the oldest and largest property management firms in the Carolinas, prior to joining Corcoran HM Properties in mid-2022.

There are few who have had the range of experience that David has had over the years. He has served at national, state, and local levels with the National Association of Realtors, North Carolina Association of Realtors, and Canopy Realtor® Association and has enjoyed a tremendously successful career along the way. Becoming a Realtor® was a higher calling for David and as a caretaker of his clients, he consistently puts their needs above all else. David is up before dawn and maintains the same high energy level throughout the day, knowing there is no guarantee of business. He honors ethics and integrity, remains calm when others may not, and meets triumph and disappointment with the same level of professionalism.

David lives in the SouthPark area with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children: Mackenzie and fraternal twins, Jackson and Naya. He enjoys spending time with his family, teaching real estate, and coaching.
