About Frank

In the beginning:

Frank was born and raised in Illinois. After a brief stint in the Army infantry, (1971-1974) he returned home to Moline, Illinois and went to work for the Rock Island Arsenal (another government job!) thinking he would simply put in 20 or 30 years and retire. After only 8 years he knew he could not continue the boring routine of a daily 9-5 job… hence,

Frank Buchanan began his real estate career in 1983 by enrolling in a variety of real estate courses at Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois. In January of 1984 he took the Illinois state exam and began working for Mel Foster, Inc. (formerly Boeye Realtors).

In June of 1986 he got tired of shoveling snow and moved to Arizona!

He then acquired an Arizona real estate license and began working for Coldwell Banker in Sierra Vista, Arizona. After almost 3 years at Coldwell Banker, he opened up his own real estate company in March of 1989 offering his clients a full spectrum of real estate services including new construction, property management, residential, commercial and land sales. Acquired an ERA franchise in 1991 through 1996. Invented one of the first discount brokerages in Arizona (Expect To Sell) in 1997 and ran it through 2008. 85% of his clients were active or retired military. Being a veteran himself, Frank specialized in helping his fellow vets with their housing needs. He then semi-retired and started flipping houses (remodeling fix ups) until 2013. Came out of retirement at the coaxing of a close friend and went to work for Keller Williams Southern Arizona in January 2015.

Technology had exploded since 2008, so the learning curve was steep! On tax day, 2016, he made a calculated career move and accepted a position as an Associate Broker with Realty Executives, in Tucson, Arizona. Realty Executives offered a very professional atmosphere while providing superior real estate tools to better serve his clients. The bottom line is he has a ton of experience (over 30 years) and lots of arrows in his back from being a trail blazing pioneer. You can ultimately trust him with your housing needs as well as with your referrals. His many years of experience will be your best asset when buying or selling a home in Tucson.
