About Giovanni
Giovanni Altamura graduated from the University of Southern California in the spring of 2007 with a degree in Planning and Development with an emphasis in Residential Real Estate.
Giovanni has been fortunate to attend all the public schools in Manhattan Beach, from Pacific Elementary, Manhattan Beach Intermediate to Mira Costa High School. In addition to being a strong believer in playing sports due to the essential values it brings out in a person, he believes the single most important factor in our home prices, is the school system.
Gio was the captain of the National Champion Boys’ volleyball team at Mira Costa in 2001 and C.I.F. Champion in 2002.
At USC, he was a four-year letterman and captain of the men’s volleyball team from 2004-2007. Being the captain of those teams taught him the dedication, leadership, and communication skills that he has continued to use in his business life in real estate.
Being a lifelong resident of Manhattan Beach, he has grown to appreciate the lifestyle this community presents. His father, John Altamura has been in Real Estate since 1987 and seeing the enjoyment it brought him over the years re-affirmed Gio’s desire to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Since starting his Real Estate career in 2007, he has been fortunate enough to see the market in all its stages, from the peak in 2007 to the bottom in 2008-09. He understands what “real value” is in today’s market. He looks forward to using that experience and knowledge for his future business.
