We purchased a condo unbeknownst to us was plagued with concrete issues and speculations that our previous realtor was ill equipped to handle. Feeling lost and overwhelmed we searched for reputable realtors in the area and came across Jen Shenk’s profile and reviews and decided to give her a call. Rather leery of fake reviews however almost instantly she was a breath of fresh air with her knowledge of the condominium since she’s sold in the community prior and just her overall meticulous nature and attention to detail offered enormous promise. She almost instantly made critical suggestions and recommendations of which we followed to a T” and within 2 week we went from zero offers to 3 and sold the property over list. She’s a breath of fresh air in a dark tunnel of confusion. One of the best realtors I’ve ever worked with by far. And this is coming from experience. After our parents passed away last year, my sister and I inherited three properties (two in Fitchburg and one on Wyman’s Pond in Westminster) that needed to be sold. Living in North Carolina, I had to work remotely with my sister and the realtor, making good communication essential. My wife, a Realtor in NC, suggested we interview several realtors. We included Jen Shenk because she had recently sold another property on Wyman’s for what we thought was a great value. After talking to everyone, Jen stood out above the rest.

Jen provided excellent advice and assistance in preparing the properties for sale. Her marketing strategies were top-notch, and she recommended a stager who significantly enhanced the properties' appeal. Jen went above and beyond, organizing an estate sale and coordinating the clean-out of our parents' primary home. Her pricing and negotiation advice were spot on. Jen and her team hosted multiple open houses for each property, resulting in multiple offers and contracts on both properties after the first weekend. The first time I contacted Jennifer Shenk we clicked immediately. She was high energy and ready to begin the process with us of selling our home.

Our situation was unique having to handle everything remotely. Jen was very communicative and kept me informed every step of the way. There were a host of questions and issues during the 6-month process and Jen was ALWAYS available to have a talk and work thru whatever came up. She was an excellent problem solver and I appreciate that she always brainstormed with me and asked for our opinion prior to any decision being finalized. She was very honest and forthright about everything, so we developed a very trusting relationship. I know Jen is a super busy lady, but she always made me feel like we were her only client and was completely devoted to our sale……….. she absolutely gave us her all.

Selling our dad's home was hard, but deciding to list with Jen was easy. We felt strongly she was the right person for this seeing she has vast knowledge of the market as well as contacts within her circle to get a fair price. After meeting at the property to discuss the highs (which were not many) and lows (plenty to overcome) we signed the contract. On January 4 she went right to work, on February 6 we had a P&S, closed on February 22, and we knew our decision was the right one. Throughout the entire process, her communication was spot on, always answering any of our questions and constantly giving us updates on the progress of the sale. Once the P&S was signed her asst. Laura as well as the closing attorney she recommended (Dave Rocheford) took over with her same philosophy constant communication and straight-up answers. If you're looking for an extremely well-organized real estate agent look no further than Jen Shenk.

Quick story, about six years ago we let our dogs out for their evening business, low and behold they tangled w/a skunk, they came in bringing the smell with them and the house was unlivable. I posted on Facebook how to get the smell out and Jen came right back telling us to use an ozone machine and if we didn’t have one, we could use hers. That next morning, my husband picked it up, we let it run for 6 hrs. and when we returned home the odor was gone. That small gesture of kindness meant the world to us.

We knew 5 minutes into our conversation with Pete Normandin that he was the builder for us. My husband and I had a clear vision of what we wanted after 30 years of marriage. Pete listened to what was important to us and guided us along the right path as the project moved along. When there was a decision to be made or a change required he always provided options so we could make an informed decision. The recommended vendors to work with as we planned our kitchen layout, bathroom designs, lighting, to name a few, were professional and pleasant to work with. The normandin family should be mentioned as well. John was knowledgeable and always calm and pleasant to speak with. He was always asking if he could do something for us! Dad/ Pete normandin Sr. literally stopped by our home during move in day to say hello and meet our family! My dad built his own home and fixed everything while I was growing up. He’s a perfectionist! I was a little nervous when I brought him to see the home while being built. He walked around the framing quietly, tapped beams, then turned to me and said “this guy knows what he’s doing!” This is a quality home! Phew! Dad approved. I am grateful to have found such a fantastic real estate agent in North Central Massachusetts. Jen was extremely helpful and patient in navigating the fast pace crazy covid housing market. We looked at so many houses and she never made me feel pressured to settle. Her patience and diligence paid off. When we found the house of our dreams, she made sure we had all the fact so that we could make an informed offer quickly. She made sure we understood what sellers are often looking for in an offer so that we could make the most compelling offer without forgoing inspection or over paying for the house.
Being a life long resident of the area she has a deep wealth of inspectors/contractors she has worked with and was even able to get a engineer the next day to look at a retaining wall that needed repair. This allowed us to confidently go under contract knowing we were getting a great deal even with the needed retaining wall repair s that were needed.
Being as prepared as we were she was able to help us navigate the closing within 30 days of the offer even with needing a mortgage!
I couldn't recommend Jen enough. With the speed of the current market, I just don't think we would have gotten the house without her skill, diligence and commitment to the community.

I can't recommend Jennifer Shenk highly enough. She brings it all to the table - energy, expertise, a network of resources and so much humanity. My mom unexpectedly inherited a complicated property that included a home where hoarding had occurred, several large parcels of land, some of the land in recreational use, not to mention an awful lot of emotion. My mom was completely overwhelmed. There wasn't anything Jen couldn't and didn't help coordinate and facilitate.
